From Yelling to Connecting is an in-depth self-paced workshop covering everything you need to know to find your inner calm during the toughest parenting moments.

You’ll learn how to

  • Skillfully respond to the stressors that leave you more prone to yelling
  • Adapt your day-to-day activities when you’re having a more stressful day 
  • Care for yourself and bounce back after you lose it with your kids 
  • Break free of the yelling cycle

Most importantly, you’ll learn how to respond to your kids rather than react and finally stop yelling.

Weekly Topics

Week 1

Understand Your Stress to Tame the Impact

Identifying stressors and impact of stress so it is less likely to hijack our brains and interactions with our kiddo(s).

Week 2

Stress Response

Understanding your window of tolerance & the impact of fight or flight.

Identify positive proactive actions to complete the stress response cycle - giving you more control over your stress.

Week 3

Know Your Triggers

We will create a proactive action plan to avoid yelling or step out of anger and frustration in the toughest parenting moments.

Week 4

Catch Yourself Before You Yell

Dig deeper into what is happening before you yell and during (thoughts, fears, bodily response).

You will be empowered with strategies to break out of negative cycle between self and child(ren).

Week 5

Strengthening Your Relationship with Your Child

Get in touch with your longings for your child(ren) and your relationship with your child(ren) using the powerful tool of compassion.

Week 6

Avoid the Shame Spiral

Learn how to step out of painful patterns of shame and guilt in parenting.

Learn tools to repair with your child (when you do get hijacked by anger).

Week 7

Compassion for Yourself and Your Child

Strengthen your relationship with your kiddo(s) through proactive interactions such as play with younger children and being playful with older teen and preteen children.
